中国語教室学楽のひとこと中国文化シリーズ、今回は残暑厳しい今の時期にちなんだ気候「秋老虎」Qiūlǎohǔに関するお話です。

「秋老虎」 という言葉を知っていますか?

中国語の言葉で、立秋過ぎてもなお残暑厳しい天気のことを指します。
立秋は二十四節気の第十三番目で、で秋の気配が現れてくるころといわれます。
今年は八月七日がその日とされました。
しかし日本は年々暑さが増し、立秋の声はあくまで「暦の上では…」になってしまって
います。この暑さはおそらく9月中旬まで続き、その後ようやく涼しさもでてくるでしょう。
しかしながら、立秋後だんだんと日中は熱く、朝晩は比較的涼しくなってきて、
1日の気温差が大きくなってきます。
自然の万物も陽気が盛んな時期から、陰気へと変化する過渡期に入ります。
人の代謝も陽気から陰気へと変化していく時期なのです。

立秋後は肺に注意！

立秋後は陽気が衰退し、陰気が上がってきて、自然界では成長から収穫の時期へとうつります。
中医学では肺は秋の季節に属し、空気が乾燥し肺を痛めますので、乾燥を避け、肺を潤すようにします。五行の考え方では、この時期、肝臓、心臓、胃腸が弱まって、立秋後、肺の機能が盛んになってきます。陰陽のバランスを考えて、健康な体を保つようにしましょう。

立秋後は何を食べる？

酸味のあるものを多くとり、辛いものは少なくします。
例えば、百合根、レンコン、じゃがいも、にんじん、きくらげ、山芋、インゲン、クコの実、白キクラゲ、豚肉、鴨肉、鶏肉、ピーナッツ、タウナギ、フナ、ゆず、なし、りんごなどが適しています。
また秋は体を補うのに適した季節です。かぼちゃ、ハスの実、竜眼の実、黒ゴマ、ナツメ、クルミなどもよいでしょう。
瓜類をたくさん摂り過ぎると胃腸を損ないます。葱、生姜、ニラ、ニンニクなど刺激物も控えましょう。

人間は自然界に大きな影響を受けていますので、季節の変化に合わせて、養生の仕方も変えて行かなくてはなりませんね。
